When your apponent switches stance, you should switch stance also.
It doesent matter what you lead with, it is up to you. For speed if your right handed, then you may choose to lead with your right, it is closer to them and can strike out fast, for power you may lead with your left so when you throw your right it will be much harder, as it has traveled from the back.
